1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using History Hack (“the Service”), operated by TroopToTeacher Technologies (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. If you are accessing the Service on behalf of a school or district, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Description of Service
History Hack is a standards-aligned U.S. History learning platform designed for Tennessee high school students in grades 9–12. The Service provides interactive quizzes, vocabulary tools, study resources, games, practice assessments, and reference materials aligned to Tennessee Academic Standards US.01–US.95 for the U.S. History End-of-Course (EOC) examination.
The Service is provided for educational purposes only.
3. Eligibility and Age Requirements
History Hack is designed for students in grades 9–12, typically ages 14 and older. The Service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. Users under 13 are not permitted to use the Service. If you are under 18, you should use the Service under the guidance of a parent, guardian, or teacher.
Schools and districts that provide access to the Service are responsible for ensuring that users meet the age requirements and that appropriate parental consent has been obtained where required by law.
4. Permitted Use
You may use the Service only for lawful, educational purposes. Specifically, you may:
- Access and use educational content for personal learning or classroom instruction
- Complete quizzes, games, and practice assessments
- Use study resources and reference materials for academic preparation
- Share the Service with students as part of a school-authorized curriculum
5. Prohibited Use
You may not:
- Use the Service for any commercial purpose unrelated to education
- Copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Service content without written permission
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service in bulk
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Use the Service to transmit harmful, offensive, or illegal content
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when using the Service
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable federal, state, or local law
6. Intellectual Property
All content on History Hack — including but not limited to text, quiz questions, vocabulary definitions, historical narratives, biographies, primary source annotations, images, graphics, logos, and software code — is the property of TroopToTeacher Technologies or its licensors and is protected by United States copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
The History Hack name, logo, and all related marks are trademarks of TroopToTeacher Technologies. You may not use our trademarks without prior written consent.
Schools and districts that enter into a licensing agreement with TroopToTeacher Technologies receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for the duration of their agreement.
7. Copyright / DMCA
TroopToTeacher Technologies respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that content on the Service infringes your copyright, please contact us at trooptoteacher31@gmail.com with the following information:
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- The URL or location of the allegedly infringing material on the Service
- Your contact information (name, address, email, phone number)
- A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
- Your physical or electronic signature
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. TroopToTeacher Technologies does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
While we strive for accuracy, educational content is provided for learning purposes and should not be considered a substitute for a classroom teacher or official textbook. Content is aligned to Tennessee Academic Standards but has not been formally adopted by the Tennessee Department of Education.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TroopToTeacher Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:
- Your use of or inability to use the Service
- Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
- Any content or conduct of any third party on the Service
- Any content obtained from the Service
10. Compliance with School Policies
Users accessing the Service through a school or district are expected to comply with their school’s acceptable use policies, technology policies, and codes of conduct. Schools may impose additional restrictions on the use of the Service. TroopToTeacher Technologies will cooperate with schools to enforce reasonable use policies.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action arising out of these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Tennessee.
12. Modifications to Terms
TroopToTeacher Technologies reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date and, for schools and districts with active agreements, provide notice of the changes at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
Schools and districts with active agreements may terminate their use of the Service according to the terms of their specific agreement. Upon termination of a school agreement, TroopToTeacher Technologies will delete any student data in accordance with our Data Disposal Policy.
